Illustrations

All botanical illustrations of Mexipedium xerophyticum in black and white are based on the illustration in the original description of the species in July 1990. In addition, the well-known botanical illustrator Carol Woodin from the USA has produced several impressively detailed drawings of the species in colour. Woodin has received several awards for her work, including a Silver Medal at the 14th World Orchid Congress in Glasgow in 1993, a 1st Prize at the Greater New York Show in 1993, an RHS Gold Medal in 1995 and an Orchid Digest Medal in 2016.
